Montpelier Veterinary Hospital provides microchipping services to help reunite your family members if they ever were to be lost. The microchip is an electronic device, about the size of a grain of rice, that comes with a unique and permanent identification number. Once it is implanted, we will help you create an account to connect your contact information to that ID number in the microchip registry.
Your pet's individual number can be read by passing a microchip scanner over your pet. Most veterinary hospitals and animal shelters carry these microchip scanners so if your pet is found, their ID code may be scanned and used by the microchip company to identify your pet and retrieve your contact information so that we can reunite you with your pet.
The veterinarians and staff at Montpelier Veterinary Hospital hope to work with you to make the best decisions for your beloved pet's care!
