Unfortunately, sometimes our animal companions aren’t feeling well. Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is equipped to deal with any illness or injury that may happen throughout your pet’s life. With modern diagnostics and an in-house laboratory, we are afforded the opportunity to diagnose and treat our patients quickly. We also offer critical care monitoring during our office hours, including intravenous fluid therapy, for patients in need of those services. We hope to work together with you to provide expert care to bring your pet back into good health!
Diagnostic laboratory tests of blood, urine and other samples allow for examination of organ function and help unmask illnesses that may not be detectable with physical examination alone.
Radiographs or x-rays help screen multiple organs and regions of the body for disease, and can be used to diagnose numerous aliments.
Ultrasounds are useful tools for examining internal organs such as the spleen, liver, kidneys, and heart as well as evaluating cysts and tumors, and diagnosing pregnancy.
An ECG provides an accurate assessment of heart rate and rhythm and help characterize abnormalities of the heart and bloodstream.
Schirmer tear test measurement, fluorescein staining, and tonometry (intraocular pressure measurement) are all modalities utilized for diagnosing a multitude of ocular conditions.
We know that we all lead busy lives, and making time for a veterinary appointment can be difficult. For those times, we are pleased to offer a drop-off appointment service. Drop off your pet in the morning between 7:30 am - 9 am, and we will take care of them until you are ready to pick up! Later drop off times may also be accommodated. Drop-off fee is $25.
