About Us
Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is a full service, companion animal, health facility located just outside of Montpelier, Virginia, about 30 minutes Northwest of Richmond, Virginia. Our goal is to provide the best medicine and ongoing care to our patients using the newest medical technology and the outstanding abilities of our doctors, licensed veterinary technicians, assistants and receptionists. Montpelier Veterinary Hospital has been owned by the husband and wife team of Dr. Scott Neviaser and Dr. Alison Neviaser since 2006. We are staffed exclusively by animal lovers who know pets are members of the family and regard with high honor the human-animal bond.
Meet The Doctors!
Dr. Alison Neviaser
Dr. Alison, along with her husband Dr. Scott, has owned Montpelier Veterinary Hospital since June of 2006. Dr. Alison is a 2002 graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) and did her undergraduate work at Virginia Tech as well. Her interests include wellness care, geriatric medicine, soft tissue surgery, and pocket pets. When Dr. Alison is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, playing golf, reading, and gardening. She lives in Glen Allen, Virginia with Dr. Scott, their two daughters Lily and Hannah, three dogs Hokie, Pickle, and Tucker, and two cats O’Malley and Gracie.
Dr. Scott Neviaser
Dr. Scott, along with his wife Dr. Alison, has owned Montpelier Veterinary Hospital since June of 2006. Dr. Scott is a 2002 graduate of Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) and did his undergraduate work at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. His interests include orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, ultrasonography and reptiles. Dr. Scott is an avid Virginia Tech Hokie fan and Redskin fan. Besides watching sports, he enjoys playing golf, reading, cooking, playing his Mandolin and spending time with his daughters. He lives in Glen Allen, Virginia with Dr. Alison, their two daughters Lily and Hannah, three dogs Hokie, Pickle, and Tucker and two cats O’Malley and Gracie.
Dr. Carron Grant
Dr. Grant attended both undergraduate and veterinary school at Virginia Tech. She completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York City and spent several years working as an emergency veterinarian at Veterinary Referral and Critical Care in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia. In 2010, she completed her training to be a Veterinary Acupuncturist and has been integrating Chinese medicine into her practice of veterinary medicine ever since. In addition to acupuncture, her professional interests include, surgery, exotic animal medicine, and management of chronic diseases, such as Diabetes Mellitus. When she is not at work, she shares her home with her husband, their energetic 6 year old boy, their dog Kasey, and three cats. Her other interests include playing games, especially bridge, traveling, cooking and reading.

Saturday’s:
We are currently open every other Saturday from 8:00 am to 2 pm.

From Areas North: I-95 South to I-64 West to I-295 South. Exit 49A to Route 33 West towards Montpelier for 13 miles. Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is on the right.
From Ashland: Route 54 West which turns into Route 33 (Mountain Road). Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is on the right.
From West/Charlottesville: I-64 East to Exit 167, Route 617 towards Oilville/Goochland, left on Oilville Road, right on Taylor’s Creek Road, left on Bethany Church Road, right on Route 33. Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is on the left.
From Glen Allen/Short Pump: I-295 South. Exit 49A to Route 33 West towards Montpelier for 13 miles. Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is on the right.
We are only 15 minutes from Short Pump, Glen Allen and Ashland.
